A.J. graduated from Seton Hall University with a Master’s in Creative Writing after receiving his Bachelor’s in English and Philosophy. His short fiction appears or is forthcoming in Harpur Palate, Breath & Shadow (a journal of disability culture and literature), Quantum Fairy Tales, Rose Red Review, and Flash Fiction Magazine, among others. His co-authored book, Medieval Literature: The Basics, is currently available for pre-order from Routledge. He has served as a volunteer firefighter, and as a police officer, earned a black belt in Taekwondo, and advocated for those with disabilities.
