Nicki Nichols began her life as a diabetes advocate when her five year old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. In the three years since, she has become the voice behind a Facebook page dedicated to diabetes advocacy, written a children's book about her daughter's diagnosis, and is also the force behind #MYLIFEISNOTFORPROFIT, a social media campaign calling for affordable insulin prices in the US. Nicki also volunteers for the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, where she lives with her husband and two children.
