A Mother and Daughter, Both with Type 1 Diabetes

We’ve been asking for submissions of photos of life with Type 1 diabetes. We received this interesting photo from Stacey Rose, who also shared a snapshot of her family’s story:

My daughter and I take this same photo every November for International Diabetes Awareness Day. We’ve been doing this since her diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes seven years ago; she is 12 now. I’ve had Type 1 diabetes for 39 years and we use that particular finger because it sums up our feelings about diabetes. 😉

We’d love to share more stories of the bond between parents and children who both have Type 1. If you have a story like this to share, or a photo of life with Type 1 diabetes, please send it to submissions@selfrx.com.
